Meet the Craftsman
Larry Shattuck is a retired Army colonel, a former professor of engineering psychology at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the previous director of the Human Systems Integration Program at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey. His service to the nation spans 52 years.
Larry began woodworking in 1976 as a cadet at West Point. Over his 30-year career in the Army, he honed his skills in numerous craft shops on military installations around the world. Upon retiring from NPS in 2023 and with the support of his family and friends, he turned this passionate hobby into a small business. Larry and his wife, Dr. Nita Shattuck, strive to pattern their lives in accordance with Micah 6:8: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (NIV).
